    Default Bigport or smallport cams

    hey guys

anyone know the difference with smallport and bigport cams?
    are they the same ?
are bigport cams an upgrade for a small port, n also is ther a way to tell if uve got big or small port cams in ur small port.

I have just bought a small port and the previous owner suspected it had different cams in it. I think i might have heard a while ago that bigport cams are a small upgrade to a smallport but i could just be making things up in my head, been out of the toyota knowledge for a while but wanna get back in lol.

I'm sure a quick google search would turn it up. From the top of my head "bigport" cams are 240 deg and 7.56mm, "smallport" are 232 and 7.1mm. The lift difference is easy to measure with a cam cover off and some verniers. "" used because apparently not all bigports came with "bigport" cams.
