have you tryed asking him what it comes with????????
What difference do they make,
Do you have to change the master cylinder?
What size rims can i run,
What do i have to have to get them to run on my ae86 coilovers?
side note, saw an ad for 850 for a bolt in conversion
What does this mean, eg, what do You think it comes with
Ty
have you tryed asking him what it comes with????????
since you didnt do a search ill fill you in
rim size will depend on what rotors you use, if they are civic ones then you can run 14 inch wheels
to bolt on they normally have an adaptor that suits the ae86 strut
some people say you dont need to change the master cylinder some say you do, if you don't ive been told that the peddle is alot harder to press but still ok
that conversion will probably have the brakes, adaptors and rotors maybe the lines as well
Rust is a way of life
the kit comes with disc', calipers and some adaptor plates
i have 15x7 rims so i guess thats ok then
If the pedal is harder then thats a good thing because i have hardly any brakes as it is
the pedal will tend to drop further away when you push it.
the pedal should actually be a bit easier to push, but you will need to push it further than you would if you had a bigger mastercylinder.
thats all i can really help with im afraid..

my pedal is very hard with 15/16th master cylinder and rx7 calipers, but i just discovered that there was no vaccuum source to my booster so that means that i've been driving it as a daily completly unboosted and managed fine! I've fixed my vacuum cannister (old one split open) so i'll see how it goes once my motor is back together!

do you have to run a civic rotor?
What other rotors are available to suit the conversion?
ALWAYS LOOKING FOR KE25 COROLLA PARTS
it all depends on the adaptor bracket your using. They are designed to fit a given diameter. AJPS brackets fit a ?264?mm civic rotor and these adaptors are the most common. I got an adaptor off delazy which suits a 284mm (i think) mini cooper rotor. And there is another guy down here in tas that made a batch of adaptors to suit 296mm mini cooper rotors.
To behonest i would just by the whole package from ajps if you are buying the whole thing new, unless you have access to a lathe. Just because its all ready to bolt together, no little surprises and no modifications and its proven product. In reality a 264 mm rotor will be shitloads for a little ae86 and the bigger rotors will just be pointless amount more shitloads LOL while reducing you chances of fitting any rims you have over the brakes!!
I have some old style 15x7 challengers and they have plenty of room diameter wise but the little lump on the front of the caliper only cleared the spokes by 1mm at most! So i would make sure you have quick access to some 5mm spacers when you do go to do the upgrade!!

262mm, thanks for the post cerby.
I favoured the 262mm rotor for the following reasons
Its 28mm bigger than ae86 rotor.
But Its fair bit lighter than the 284 and 296mm rotors - big brakes act like a slide hammer on the bottom of struts
You can still run 14 inch wheels
Remains quite balanced
Relatively cheap
Whole set up is 900g more than factory set up
bit of a digression but does anyone know what the weight of the wilwood kit is? cant find anything online...
also hearing mixed responses but can you easily run 14" with wilwoods?
