The nz based kit that is floating around recently is easily 2x the price of the company in perth who has been doing it for years...

Really? Does the Perth kit have billet crank, pistons and rods? And with various oil control features built in...
If it had been around 3 years ago I'd have bought it instead of spending similar money on my own 7ag..
I know you have previously been burnt/had issues with Barry's bits, but his one of the only guys contributing/developing these motors ATM

They aren't much heavier than an s14 tbh
Plus if its a track car you have a lot
Of things you can pull out
Some of their parts are cool, but chasing displacement is hardly development. Figurig out how to run one of these engines with a rod ratio of 1.9:1 and a piston speed that is at "the limit" at 13,000 thats development.
Speaking hypothetically ofcourse :/
Yeah true, just anything like a 4a/7a seems like a step backwards
Theres a reason why there are very few companies thatdo stroker kits for the A series engines, and most haave a very very limited run.
Whats the point in increasing displacement when the cylinder heads require huge work to get max VE out of the 1.6? Its wank factor. When they maake 300+ na ill re evaluate my decision
I don't think it's that far away from happening... It's just having the outlay to do it...
Anthony has a genuine 260hp with his 5.5ag...
Barrys personal 9ag will have more displacement, more compression and dry sump... While having a very similar if not superior head...
