    Default Vu's Final AE86

    Hey guys,

A few of you may know me from around here and there having owned about 6 AE86's in the past. One of which was a ground up rebuild Trueno with 4AGZE, coilovers, 15x9 meisters, kouki lights all round and a few other goodies. I abandoned the project due to cold feet and ended up building my S15 instead.

Here's where I got up to before I parted it out:

    And my S15:

Anyway, I've now acquired a new AE86 and going to keep this thread updated with it's progress. Things get done a lot quicker when you do them 10th time round.

Started out as a stock red ADM, we took it back to the workshop and stripped it bare:

Interior was stripped with dry ice:

Unnecessary holes in the bay were welded and filled:

Interior and engine bay were painted (the color didn't come out right, it was meant to be more on the gunmetal side, but too late now haha):

We used the engine / driveline from my brother's damaged AE86 as a donor and binned the shell:

We fit the motor in, then Nathan (sprinter86) came around to clean up the wiring mess (did a really good job of it, hid all my wiring):

    Here's how it sits now:

Will add more updates in the next few days.

Most of the mods we do have simplicity and neatness in mind, so a lot of parts have been removed, or relocated to a position that can't be seen.

    Car
    - 1983 ADM Toyota Sprinter

    Interior
    - Removed all interior trims / sound deadening
    - JDM dash / cluster
    - Brand new black carpet (front half)
    - AJPS drift button
    - HKB boss kit
    - Battery relocated to rear seat

    Exterior
    - Brand new kouki Levin front bar
    - Shaved antenna, rear wiper, rear wiper sprayjet, boot keyhole
    - Handflared front / rear guards

    Engine / Management
    - JDM RWD 16v 4AGE
    - Quad throttle bodies (to go on after registration)
    - Wolf 3D
    - JDM fuel tank
    - Relocated fuel filter to transmission tunnel
    - Relocated radiator overflow to behind frontbar

    Suspension / Brakes
    - FC RX7 calipers
    - AJPS FC caliper adaptors
    - R32 brake master
    - Custom brake lines to suit

    To do
    - Redlines
    - JDM headlights / parkers
    - Ducktail
    - Coilovers
    - Fat wheels
    - Paint
    - Registration

I like the "what is" to be of your corolla, but I'd give my left nut for your s15! OWNS!

S15 is gagging for a wing big time.
Will be keeping an eye on the 86 build *thumbs up*
