I think they are referreing to the Crank Angle Sensor, which is part of your ignition system of the dizzy. On a (Edit: oops)big port I'm pretty sure there is one point inside it that sends a trigger to the ECU every 360 turn of the rotor. On a Smallport engine There is a different pattern and one trigger gets sent every 180 degrees, the CAS should be little black box facing the dizzy shaft inside the dizzy with a wire coming of it im pretty sure.

Time for an update. Sadly my AE86 was having shit luck and on the way to an AE86 DC meet, it ended up on the tow truck.

But in other news I managed to buy a complete wrecked Nissan S15 off my brother. Nice of him to 'drift' it into a tree... boys.

The plan is to keep it simple, do all the work ourselves, with some help from the pro's :-)
This will be a street car with occasional track use, nothing crazy, so I'll just be just freshening it up with new fluids/gaskets.

    So we plan to:

Transplant the SR20DET and S15 front brake calipers, re drill rotors to 4 Stud into the 86.
Weld up some engine and gearbox mounts.
Pull out the 4AGE and Re-paint the engine bay, I like a clean bay.
Wire it up & fit the S15 cluster to the 86 Dash.
After that, the body needs a bit of attention, so more sanding and painting.
Then the interior needs a bit of a clean up.
Maybe a rear disc brake conversion later down the track.
Oh and re-engineering it. Keep it legal Yo!

So we spent a no. of weekends stripping the car, removing all the wiring and parts in the way. Pics:

S15 Wreck. We cut the front so it'd be easier for clearance when lifted out.

Got myself a crane, strapped her up. It took a bit of pushing and pulling the engine to clear the mounts. Would have taken the turbo manifold off but one of the nuts became rounded (long story).

    It's Freeeeee! Woooo!

On the pallet ready to be transported. Anyone want an S15 shell?

Next up, gonna ripp out the 4AGE from the Hachi and start prepping for paint.

    Yeah we can

S15 brakes will be crazy good in this! Also you can just make the whole s15 dash fit if you try hard enough

Try using the s15 seats too, pretty decent factory seats. Checked out jordo's engine mount kits cj? Would be good to get the motor bolted in place asap to keep the momentum going
