just though i would start a thread for this now that im getting the final parts to get the whole thing together now.
OK so my ae71 Spirit 4age street car got defected and shortly after the rego ran out
BUT conveiniently another ae71 popped up with rego which i quickly jumped on, which means the little white spirit will now be the track car. yays
ive already done some work on it, all the jap stuff of the te71 is now on the spirit, as well as the 1330mm hilux diff and the 10 inch wheels.
ANYWAY, heres the pics
w series going in....
Im using a few bits originally from 70XIN's build that he parted out, these are his pics,
7a Crank extensive deburring and smoothing was done, converted to 8 bolt so 4ag/ze flywheels can be used.
7a oil pump ported
and the other bits ive bin collecting,
Blacktop turbo plenum:
Blacktop quad throttle bodies
Turbo manifold plate, using it to port match the exhaust ports (a job for Sam Q )
the turbo and hks 40mm wastegate flanges/gaskets
generic 600x300 intercooler
LS1 coils mounted under inlet manifold
Bronze valve guides and titainium retainers, heavy duty springs from the states
i Havent putchased cams yet, but i will be getting some made.
multilayer metal headgasket
using spool 7afe rods
either using my acl 20v forgies, or buying some lower compression ones.
ill purchase the turbo near the end of the build, but the plan is to use a GT2871 with a vband rear housing.
JDI will of course be working his magic with 40mm steampipe bends and making the exhaust manifold, will be tuned length style low mount, the turbo will be mounted relativly forward to most setups.
Flywheel is 230mm ae101 GZE
have a few w55/8's
JDI gearbox crossmember
knox tailshaft one peice
Early Hilux diff 4.8 ratio (still looking for 4.5 for 4.3) shortened 40mm, converted to ma70 disk brakes, ke70 mounts all welded on.
As you can see in the photos the wheels listed below actually fit under the stock flared guards without and issue. which im stoked about! 10's under stock rolla guards ftw
wheels are American Racing Baja 15x8 neg 19 for the front using r1r's mainly
15x10 neg 43 for the rear running 195 50 15
Any poor alcoholic knows how big a 500ml amsterdam can is
15x10 neg 38 Cheviout Armourlite (centrline style) 205 50 15
15x8.5 neg unkown american flower style wheel, very light, one peice.
Ill try an update as things progress, hopefully the engine will begin to be assembled in a month or so. from looking at other similar engine setups, i dont think 250-60 rwkw is unacheivable.
cosmetically it will have quad lights, and ill be keeping the jdm style DX taillights and short metal rear bumper. I can see it sitting in primer for quite some time as paint doesnt completly interest me, but if i was to paint it it would be gloss black.
