Oh, the flywheel has just been machined and we installed a brand new clutch kit so it cant be that.
I have just finished an auto to manual conversion on my RT142 Corona. Everything went well but im hearing noises from the gearbox area.
We didnt do the bolts up with a torque wrench as we didnt have one on hand. Are they really necessary to use and could this be the reason behind the suspect noises?
Also, i know the clutch needs abit of adjusting.
Would it be wise to get the clutch adjusted by a workshop and get them to go over the conversion to make sure we didnt miss anything?

'Noises' isn't exactly that descriptive. More information will yield greater help.
Is it a rattley bearing type noise?
Is it a cyclic noise?
Is it a rattle-type noise that sounds like one part is rattling on another?
Clutch in / out or is it there all the time?
Was the spigot bearing replaced?
Was the clutch release / throwout bearing replaced?

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
to add to this.
what bolts didnt you do up with a torque wrench?
the only bolts that should have been done up with torque wrench are the flywheel bolts and the bolts that hold the pressure plate. everything else would be fine to be done up "firm".

They're the ones we didnt do up with a torque wrench, but we did do them up tight.
The engine is a 22RE and the g/box is a W55 (well i think it is, it come from a RT142 Corona).
I cant really elaborate on the noises as it makes many of them at different times.
I might see if i can get it back over the pit to re-do the flywheel bolts, etc then.
