Het Guys,

My car is a fiend of fuel surge as the current fuel system comprises
of a single VL pump hard mounted to the chassis rail (So Loud!!!).
I don't want to run a surge tank due to the space they consume and the legalitys as the car is currently engineered as is.

My idea is to:

Mount a S13 fuel pump inside the tank and have it encased in a alloy cylinder
which has a few holes in it to work as an internal baffle.

The pump will easily provide enough fuel flow and the noise should be
almost eliminated. I am hoping that with the car having over a 1/4 of a tank
of fuel, fuel surge should be almost eliminated. Hopefully the sender will not fowl and still work.

Anyone done anything similar or any ideas on this?
