quite honestly who gives a shit where the ring goes.

Marvis you have built some cool looking cars, but you are coming across as a total douche. This thing looks pretty cool already (about 1000x better than when he first got it)

There is something to be said for having suspension travel, because at the end of the day 99% of cars on bumpstops will handle like shit

Why not just tell everyone exactly the history behind hangrings?? Make a thread regarding??? That way the history is there for people into that stuff but otherwise it's just a ring for some and they put them on because they want to

In regard to you camber/height/wheel size issues a few pages back (page 2 I think?). If you decide to keep standard metal you will be surprised how far you can get the guards out. I was running a 15x10 -12 with 195/60 on the back of my S13 with + 0.2 degress camber (yes, positive) and what I would say was low enough. All under stock metal quite easily. I just didnt like the idea of flares.

i understand where marv is coming from on the hangring concept, but if he wants to do it let the kid do it, but DONT CALL IT BOSO/shakotan STYLING, cause you car is far from it. i have added what they mean

    THIS WILL HELP EVERYONE OUT.

Bōsōzoku (暴走族, "violent running gang") is a Japanese subculture associated with motorcycle clubs and gangs.
So, Bosozoku style cars should best be described as the cars driven by the Japanese gangs. This is partly true of course, but a lot of people actually like the Bosozoku styling as well eventhough they are not a member of a gang...

The zoku part in the word indicates it is about a gang. A lot of people use Boso as a word to indicate this style to not refer as the gang cars but the use of the word Boso would not make sense: violently running cars??

A lot of people also use the zokusha designation which is widely used in Japan. Sha means car so literally it translates into gang-car. So in other words zokusha is the best describing word for the bosozoku style cars.

The Bosozoku style is often referred to with a lot of different names:

    Shakotan
    Yanky style
    VIP style
    Kyusha style
    Grachan

    and also

Shakotan literally means "low car" and is used mainly for indicating extremely lowered streetcars with wings and big exhausts tips. The manga/anime of Shakotan Boogie features two brothers driving extremely lowered cars. One of them being a white Toyota Soarer Z10, hence the popularity of that particular car under Shakotan fans. This style is the mild variant of the Bosozoku style.

yeah the guards came out a fair bit hey.
that was like 5 seconds with a jack handle.
only problem is if we went anymore it would have stuffed the quarters completly without cutting ect.
i personally like the look of flared standard metal but he wants the flares. they will still look pimp.
i offered to cut the inside out of them and bring them out but he wanted flares.

if these wheels were a tad bit wider with the same tyres or even 195s they would fit under those guards with ease.
only prob, this is his only car and cannot afford to get defected ect.
