usually they work from earthing when you close the door, try pulling out the switches pulling them apart and give them a bit of a clean, then chuck them back in or check the wiring make sure it's not earthing out on the body soemwhere
sorry for this trivial thread but as the title states my 'door open' warning light on the dash and the interior light wont turn off
i washed my car about 2 months ago and from that point my door open lights wont turn off. The alternator was dying at that stage (although i didnt know that at the time). Its the "dome" fuse in the drivers footwell, i replaced the fuse, no change, and i checked the door jams just incase one was stuck in, thats all ive done really. atm i dont have the fuse in as i dont want it to drain my battery
anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?
im guessing its wiring but i dont know where to start if i have to trace through that specific fuse to find the problem.
any help would be appreciated guys
thanks

i normally just push the buttons in and out really fast for like 30 seconds and that fixes them
