ke70 rack is a fair big shorter as expected, but you just never know aey

pulled other rack apart today, the rack has movement parallel to the pinion at the input shaft end(dose not have a bush at this end), but when you adjust the thingo until there is no movement it is almost impossible to turn the input shaft and when you do its very notchy, as if the teeth are bottoming out, and when you pull the pinion out there is definitely some wear but i wouldn't have thought it be enough to make it this bad. and the noise it was making is the same as the one thats in the car now so they must just be plain old worn out........................

hahaha yeah i didnt think it was too bad, but i have never used one before so i dont know whats good or whats bad, it was all a big learning cruve, but in the end i dont think it turned out to bad, would look heaps better if i could get off my ass and wash the rest of the car thoe, and ill have to give that section a nice polish to get it shining

so that only took me 2 and a half days so a whole car would take.............. 4 weeks? haha

lucky i have a mate who has a old 22r from a hilux with a spun big end that i was able to steel a valve and valve guide out of...... just a tad dodgey haha

did this while installing new cam, also have changed timing chain, sprockets, guides, tensioner, water pump, timing cover, valve springs, wideband o2 sensor and just got extractors and full exhaust done the other day.

i had the head sitting on the block and while putting the rocker gear on and using the bolts to pull it into place the rocker mustn't have been sitting on the valve properly and bent it and i broke the guide tring to bash the valve out. lessons i wont soon forget.

also the other week installed ra40 LCA's which is same as xt130 im lead to believe, new bushes and ball joints, ra65 power steering arms and RCA's just need a proper alinement's and it shall be all sweet. but now my rims stick to far out of the stock grards, soo lucky i have some new ones on the way................ pics soon
