Default Drum hat wont go back on

So i just put new shoes on my brakes. The drivers side one i adjusted and is a good fit.
NOW the other side is fully adjusted inwards and the drum hat wont go on.
iv tried switching shoes either side and still the same problem, loosened the hand brake off and still wont go on.
    Any ideas guys???

Smash the fuck out of it.

I had this issue the other day and I just adjusted the drum and she went on. Sounds like you are having more fun though.

    Don't smash it.

You must be a strapping young lad. I have troubles lifting it.

And done. I cant tell you what it was as i dont know.
I just pulled everything off, made sure it was going together properly. Then put it back together and its now working.
Im guessing something was getiing caught possibly the top spring on the adjuster

adjust the handbrake, to tighten or losen the shoes.

you can physically move the shoes aswell, so just try to get it sitting right, something that looks even, then keep trying to slide the drum on.

if its hitting top right move the shoes down left etc so on and so forth.
but it pisses me off when people assume your hooning cos your car is loud, has bald tires, a roll cage, fresh bake and dinted bumpers!!
Or driving in a wolf pack.

its best to adjust the handbrake entirely, then get it right with the inboard adjuster then your handbrake has a lot less slack to to take up, and it works on a better lever point.

You sometimes have to gently bang them side to side with the palm of your hand to get it smack bang in the center, ones its on it will self center, sort of.
