Shouldnt it just slide off??

wow,
ae_drift_86- all boss kits/steering wheels get stuck on to some level and considering the low level of crud that is used to make boss kits I am not surprised.
Now Mr AE86 I think of you can't get the puller behind it then you need to drill and tap into that boss kit to make an improvised puller. If you get stuck come visit me

get a g clamp and tighten it like mad onto whats left of the boss kit and yank.
be careful, coz when it lets go you could smash yourself in the face.
Just drill a hole up eather side of it and split it.. Shouldn't be hard to do... just make sure you don't drill into the spines..
use a small air hacksaw of something like that take it 3/4 in the use a chisel, should snap in half or yeah redworks idea is good too
yeah thats good thinking with splitting it, I don't suggest smashing it though, you could wrecker the bearings in the shaft ends
