    Default spigot bearing

i have just put a 4age small port which i pulled straight from a fwd ae92 corolla into my ae71.

now that i havbe the car all togeather and almost to the point of running my brother informs me there is no spigot bearing in the engine as fwd engines do not use them.

    my question is:
is it true that the fwd corollas dont have a spigot bearing?

as i am very lazy and do not want to pull the box out agen.

    thanks for yo help.

i think autos dont have a spigot because torque converter speed is always at engine speed. you should check it and be certain, will fuck gbox up if wrong.

Yes fwd dont use a spigot bearing

Yes you WILL need 1 ina rwd format with t50 or similar box. your input shaft on the t50 will die very quickly without it.

Seriously thou, do it now and reap the reward.

autos in fwd or rwd dont use spigots...rwd manual does

if you dont run a spigot bearing you are likely to kill your input shaft

you know what would make you really sad.. your gearbox needing to be taken out for a second time for the sake of $5 bearing.

This method is likely to wreck the seals
