So I have managed to buff the car up and dress up the engine a little. I think it is starting to look pretty good. I'm not sure how to set up the Federal Mogul electric fuel pump I have as it is meant to be self regulating and apparently it is best to use a return line to the fuel tank. I'm simply not sure whether the return line is meant to tee off before or after fuel is fed to each carby??? Anyways here are some pics.

After fuel is fed to the carby, although I have a funny feeling we aren't running a return on one of our cars which runs 45 webbers. I think cause we are just using a self regulating facet pump, it will only pump up to say 6psi then just hold it constant to fill the bowls up.
Bit of a grey area for myself, I need to brush up on my carby knowledge

I've started to put it all back together but I have some troubles -the new stainless bumper bars do not fit very well so once I've sorted that out I'll post some more pics. I have also been delayed with the interior, it was booked in for Oct/Nov but that has been put back by the trimmers till February.
I briefly had the engine up and running but still need to sort out an accelerator cable and some new heater hoses.

    Hi All,

Well I have had a bit of progress on the Capri. I managed to get it fired up and running albeit in the shed only. I still need to bleed the brakes and clutch. Also left in the engine bay is to fit my new accelerator cable. Tomorrows job. I have tidied up all the wiring and heater hoses.

I have also managed to fit the swan neck mirrors to each of the doors. I quite like them.

I have also managed to fit the new bumper bars. I needed to elongate the original brackets mounting holes to get them in but the front was quite easy. The rear not so. It was 25mm narrower than my original at the top outer edges so it did not fit around each of my 1/4 panels when I first attempted to get it on the car. I got my porta power out and gently pumped it out and managed to get a bit it closer to the dimensions of my standard bumper bar. The bar then went on much easier.
