There are a few options.
-JDM AE86 Tank and EFI pump - available through a few specialist AE86 parts suppliers. Buddy Parts springs to mind.
-Some use the ADM AE86 tank and use the factory pump as a lift pump to a surge tank, usually mounted in the hatch section or under the car. From there they run an EFI pump (VL Commodore pumps are common) to the fuel rail, and a return back to the tank.
-Some do the above without a surge, one pump into the other. That's a no-no.
-Some just use the carby pump and keep a full tank of fuel. Again, that's a no-no.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
Hi
Just run a JDM EFI pump setup in the ADM tank.
Thats all i havegot at the moment.
Have one available if interested
Cheers
JDM pump/cradle is good, also modified ae82 is good too (just need to modify the bracket to sit the pump lower). Its still like running an external VL pump on its own though, but its a lot quieter and neater.
Still require 1/4tank minimum to avoid fuel surge, but I never run my tank much lower then that as it helps to avoid premature failure of the pump

I have this planned for myself:
JDM fuel pump and bracket, bolted in a ADM tank if I have to. Or JDM tank when I find one.
I also have the "JDM" EFI fuel line for the whole car, plus the flex hose between the tank and the main line. Then I use a genuine EFI fuel filter in the engine bay. All factory Toyota, all screws together. I will use one of the old existing lines as the return.
JDM tank has its own surge tank inside the tank, which I why I want to find one.
Is it true that an ma61 pump fits into the adm ae86 tank?
It very well may, a lot of those era cars had the same tank opening bolt/hole pattern so if you can, give it a shot

I simply used a nissan pintara efi pump, cut off the filter on the end of the fuel pick up and attached the pump to the end. But any decent efi pump from the wreckers will do fine.
A MA61 fuel pump is the same or similar to a AE86 EFI pump. So the MA61 pump will fit a AE86 EFI fuel pump bracket. But the MA61 fuel pump and bracket, will not just bolt in a AE86 tank.
Just as Nikkojoe said, an AE82 Twinky fuel pump bracket and pump can be used, the pump is used in a large variety of cars such as Coronas, Cressidas, Camrys, other Corollas, Celicas, Taragos, 4 Runners and so much more. I believe that they are of the 51mm types, the ae82 pump which I used was about 51mm.
In order to use the ae82 bracket it will have to be extended, IIRC it had to be extended by 45mm. But when I measured the distance to the bottom of the tank in an ADM tank it was about 9.5 inches so I extended the bracket accordingly and the overall length from the bottom of the lid to the bottom of the bracket was about 9.1 inches. This left about a 2cm gap from the bottom of the tank to prevent shit being sucked into the pump and getting stuck on the pre-filter. Also the lines on top of the twinky bracket will be facing the wrong way and some will need to be cut off, and there is a possibility that some connections may hit the chassis but you will know what I mean when you have it in front of you. The wiring should be very simple just use the connector on the bracket aswell as the other half of the connector extend the wires and wire it up to a relay, either from the ignition ON switch or through a circuit opening relay which is what I have done. I might be making a thread on how to do this shortly. When I bought my spoontah it used a VL Pump screwed onto one of the tank straps but was loud as shit, and also VL Pumps were never designed to suck fuel, but instead have a lift pump before the pump to help it deliver enough fuel.
