that car has retired now, and yep KMS lent an engine to Tsuchiya in 05 as that was the year koshimizu won.

since sakurai's death (and even before) tsuchiya was associating himself with koshimizu and KMS quite regularly

A bit O/T but one of the ae86 club videos features Sakurai's 20V street car. It seemed to be fully optimized in regards to everything I've been learning that can be good for 20v: 288 exhaust duration vs 272 intake (20V head is choked up on the exhaust side), 10.5mm lift (his own special cams) since the 20V increases flow up till about 11mm or so, and ae101 throttle on a blacktop engine! The black top throttles are actually too big for 4a bottom end for street use, so this likely increased his mid-range w/o effecting up to much at all. So boss. Unfortunately the car had some kind of issue and I never really got to see how well it performed...

Sorry to interrupt u guys but thses are my favourite N2 pictures that I captured from Best Motoring International Vol. 17, which contains the 2004 Hot Version AE86 N2 Cup.
I've been looking for the original source of these pictures, i.e. wallpaper size maybe? But I guess anyone with a higher definition of the video would also do the job.
Anyway, the third picture is absolutely astonishing.

I just watched Hot Version Vol.115 and since there's no other N2 thread I know of I have some questions about the race series.
Anyone know of like what the main rules/regulations of it are? As I'd like to have a read as I've always been interested in seeing
what they have to work with for example in this new Vol they have shown the weight limits of the cars 4AG 780kg, 4.5-5AG 810kg 7AG 830kg.
Also when they show Tsuchiya's new car I saw it has a lovely golden header, however it looks like it's one piece? Is this possible or is it just a case
of supremely good welding and being polished over?
    Thanks

They would be from the TRD archives, the 3rd picture of the rainy start is also published on page 6-7 of the TRD Corolla Levin Trueno Sprnter Special Edition Bible. I've only ever seen it printed in black & white. There have been a few other period n2 photos printed in other TRD catalogues of the Enkei and Trust team cars... Here is the best OG N2 video on the internet today - Enjoy!!
