Default T-18 strut to AE86 coilovers

I want to do a full brake and strut conversion as there is no brake upgrades available for the T-18 breaks.
What is needed to go from T-18 to AE86.

    Cheers

have you asked dave if he can make his FC caliper adapters suit t18 struts? would have thought it would be at most just changing the location of a few bolt holes.

Hadnt thought of that but i have 14" rims and dont really want to spend $1000 on brake upgrade. Was just looking at getting some better pads and vented slotted discs.

might be worth check to see if you ae86 brakes will fit. i just cant imagine it being terribly difficult to fit them. might just need some holes drilled. im fairly sure everythiing else is the same.

also 4AGE AE86 - ae86, ke70 and te72 use the same strut top bolt pattern.

gilly sold me some t-18 struts that had ae86 brakes on them ages ago, so yeh pretty sure it wont be hard to make 86 brakes fit

    no they dont....series 2 t18 does, series 1 t18 is different...and stouty has a s1

you also cant run AE86 camber tops properly in series 1 t18 strut top holes as they are round not oval in shape, so they cause the top to be un-adjustable...

as for fitting sprinter brakes to T18 struts, it is a simple measure, mark out and drill operation...

Stouty: can you get you hands on a pair of sprinter backing plates? if so, lay the t18 ones over the top of them and mark the holes, then just drill them out...the hubs are the same

    This is not entirely correct.

S1 TE71/TE72 uses a different bolt pattern. A few select people know which cambertop will fit. ]

    S2 TE71/TE72 uses the ae86 top.

    You're a superhero like that.

Yes i have Cusco TE71 cabmer tops that Dave from AJPS and Chris ( Just Half Steppin ) chased down for me. So i might look in to just changing the brakes then doesnt sound like it will be to hard.

4AGE AE86 idea sounds the best just got to get the brakes and sprinter backing plates.

Cheers Dave but i just dont have the money to do the FC caliper upgrade.
