Personally i haven't.
What makes you want to do it?
hi guys.
i was wondering if anyone has ever heard of an alpha romeo rear diff put into an ae86????
Personally i haven't.
What makes you want to do it?
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
haha bad idea, when it goes u dont wanna be looking for a diff nor axles, and its alfa romeo lol
I know of some guy that has one, doing some work for him at the moment. Seems like an alright idea
I know another bloke who did one, quite a decent diff, but parts are rare as hell thats the prob
real funny!!!!!
i dont relly wanna do the conversion...
my car actually came with it fitted. im just trying to work out why they would have done that conversion.
well why is easy to answer...
its stronger.
Just take the watts link of the a frame.
The only plus is unsprung weight, and honestly its not worth it, especially when you consider it is a trans-axel configuration, so basically you take the nice light t50 out of the middle, and stick a heavier unit in the ass.
EDIT: I forgot to add, you would have find a way to brace the engine, which wouldn't be cheap, well none of it would be.

all i could say is... y bother when there are so many great toyota options? i guess fair enough if toyota didnt have those options. but a big minus for Euro trash!!
i think most alfa's have an lsd stock. thats probably the reason.
you should take it out, put something normal in there, and never speak of it again
