yeah its mainly old oil, it tends to break down and then carbon up after a while.

but as i said before, extreme overheating and cooking the motor will do it also

I use Wynns engine flush, good product but you would definitely need more than that, with your engine in that condition. Give the Wynn's a go after you get most of the gunk out.

    diesel is roughly a $1.50 a L

most products around 15 bucks for small bottle.

is diesel safe to use as an oil flush every 6 month or so?

I dare say both my cars could use a good engine clean but i don't want to damage anything due to poor lubrication.

its safe as houses, diesel is oil based and is a lubricant in itself. u mix it with a L of oil, and the car is only idling up to engine temp and thats it, its not like your going to be leaning on the engine with it in.

    perfectally fine to use.

So you're saying, dump the oil, mix the oil and diesel and just fill it with that, idle, then put proper oil back in...thats fine to do even if you can still see your cams...every oil change?

maybe it would be a good idea to wipe it off the cam lobes first, if possible could you take an after pic? I would really like to see how well this trick works.

Also you may have to repeat this process a few times.

Can you source another motor ? Seeing that would make me just pull the motor. Wouldnt Diesel work over seals, gaskets, and what not ?

Just saying you may want to get another motor and put it on stand by.
