Nice car,
i now own your jet ski lol,
Hey everyone my names Pete. I just recently bought an 1983 KE70 for $200 and its got a little rust but not bad for $200
Its just your plain crappy old 4K with 5 speed. Everything is stock. Its got 153xxx km's on it.
Here are my plans.
Get it registered first
4AGE'd
Wheels
Lowered
2way lsd
tint
respray white with xx trim
cut out rust
Pretty good sound system nothing over the top
After all that I'll probably look at the brakes. Its going to be my daily/project I also have a BF XR8 ute which I use as a parts runner and will use when this is off the road.
So far I have acquired a 4AGE bigport from an AE82 its an older black and blue top with only weaker 3 rib block but it will be way better than the 4k.
I'm awaiting some parts to be shipped to me from a few guys on here then I'll still need to find some other things like a T50 and T18 rear end. Once I have everything I'll start my build.
I've acquired two tacho dashes so I'll test them both this week and if they both work one will be up for sale.

Nice car,
i now own your jet ski lol,
Are you Julian?
if you are Julian I thought you said to me don't buy a KE70?
Hows the ski going?
yeh dont buy a ke70,
get an ae71, so much easier.
WELL,
had some issues with ski,
battery was stuffed,
fuel tap not hooked up and needed a tune badly.
but sorted 2 of the 3 out,
so hopefully this weekend will be its first proper voyage,
had 2 failed attempts of it not starting lol
true true AE71 is easier but much more expensive.
It was flat cause it had been sitting a while didn't know it was stuffed though it charged and seemed to hold ok.
You shoulda let me know I got two spares here off newer skis just have to change the terminals on the wires.
As for the fuel tap I knew it wasn't hooked up but never caused a problem before it was just bypassed forgot to tell you though.
As for the tune I'm sure I told you it would need one as twin carbies are a bitch to tune.
Why wouldn't it start? Did you end up checking out the crank? I remember you said you might take a look at it but as I said when I rebuilt it it was fine and I replaced all the seals and bearings.
im going to wait for it to blow up before i bother lol,
buying a new battery tomorrow, 550cca!!!
yeh it held charge the first time need just wouldnt again.
Fuel tap being open all the time just flooded it constantly,
and the primer is massssssive but seems to be all sorted.
What batteries are they you have?
pretty mint for $200!
looks rather straight n the interior is fresh 2
g/l finding the pedal box lol! that was the biggest c*#t for me 2 find and fit
should have your bits sent off to you on friday
-Jarryd
Yeah it is very straight only has two small dings in the drivers door and one in the bonnet.
Interior is great too not a mark on it. It does have quite a bit of rust in the left corner of the boot but I'll just cut it out for $200 I feel there's very little rust at all.
I finished a datsun 620 ute about 3 months ago and that had heaps so this should be easy.
As for the pedal box thanks to 20V_Kid I've got one being shipped to me right now with clutch master and line.
Just need extractors, T50, T18 Diff, Clutch slave(Hopefully will come with gearbox), Remote thermostat housing, Fuel pump, fuel regulator, Rubber engine mounts.
Tossing up between cut n shut my manifold or just forking out and going a genuine RWD one.

I dunno I'd have to check but they're about half the size of the one in there but with more amp/h.
It shouldn't blow up for a while I replaced everthing except one piston which was ok.
But I did new gaskets, bearings, seals, rings, one piston, machined the head, stator, stator wiring, starter motor, few new studs.
