Default Front AGX shock options for LOWDOWN

    Hey fellas, template:

    Car - AE86

    motor - 4a

    use - skids

    problem - Need front shocks!

occurs/started when - Blew third pair of (second hand) trd ae92 yellow's ~330mm body

personal situation - Okay, going AGX -> I know there are SW20's... but i keep reading about these mythical st185's that are shorter extended length? ( = more correct strokeing at my height) anyone have these or a partnumber etc etc? car is fairly low. and want to go a bit lower haha

    to quote another member:
"ST185 Celica (KYB p/n 365077) front shocks' are 490mm extended, 346mm compressed. Cartridge size is 332mm with an OD of 44mm.

That's the kyb P/N... whats the AGX number!?!?!?!?! and surely the AGX would be the same measurements yeh?

    To answer my own thread,

    I ended up with

    AGX P/N 765017

    Body: 332mm

From bottom of body to top of SHAFT (Extended) 510mm

From bottom of body to top of SHAFT (Compressed) 346mm

How these differ from the MR2 shocks that everyone seems to get i dont know, but being suited to a heavier car i'm hoping they actually have more dampening

Sounds promising... mine should be in by the end of the week, then tested soon after on private roads....

Sorry about reviving an older thread, but how did these work out for you?
I'm about to get a HSD coil over kit and was looking at these shocks.

They are actually LONGER than the MR2 shocks. But i think they are valved a bit stiffer (as they are made for a car that weighs a lot more).

I run them on 2 and they are great. 3 starts pushing the car towards understeer, on the shitty hills roads anyway. (with 9kg front, 7kg rear and rear TRD BLUES on 5/8)
