I thought a heavier flywheel was better for drifting?

yes thats quite a light flywheel

mine weighs in at about 5.8kg and thats the lightest on the market for the beams. i wonder why he felt it nessesery to go sub 1kg?

I would of thought the heavier the better for drifting, like a 15kg if the bolts can handle it. Looks like a stack off effort was put into it either way. I hate the colour but it's not my car so I am happy for him

yeah i hear ya but there would be a good balence between to heavey and to light.

you want the motor to be responcive and rev up quick when to want it to. but you want some of that inercial energy also so the motor doesnt bog down.

not every drift concists of a 7k cluth kicks

this is just based on what i logicaly think. not fact so i could be wrong??

hey I know crap all about drifting hence why I offered possibilities.

I also found him locking the VVT control out to really odd. I know that it can work with any duration or lift of cams so why throw away the power?

Otherwise I don't want to sound like I think this guy has done a bad job, this is an amazing build done to a very high quality. The paint alone would of taken so many hours.

I would also love to know the final weight

theres very little options out the to buy cams out on the market that will still accomidate the vvt.

the toda and trd shafts add like 10kws from a few more degrees.

but glenns cams are heaps better than them. which is why he can pull big power while having vvt
