    Default LEVEL UP! 4agze KE70

Decided I need a new project to sink my teeth into. And, unlike my corona, I could get this up to the house to work on.

Picked it up on the weekend, someones abandoned project, it isn't running and needs significant electrical work.

Basically it didn't come with the ECU which was some standalone one from America (can't remember brand name).

The engine appears to be set-up to not use signals from the MAP/AFM (I have no idea which series it is, how do I tell?). And has a custom loom.

From my limited knowledge of auto electronics, I'm about 99% sure it doesn't need a standalone ECU and just used to have one for the cool factor - so I shall probably just source a standard ecu and loom once i find out which series it is.

It does come with some cool things like -

Mod plates for the engine and 2seeter capacity half cage and harnesses

    RPM harnesses.

    Unknown semi-bucket seats.

    Unknown bolt in half cage.

    Some shonky looking immobiliser setup.

Unknown front struts with vented discs and bigger calipers.

Unknown but not stock springs and shocks all round, not stiff but not sloppy either.

Big ass swaybars all round, possibly pedders brand.

Unknown Japanese series diff with floating discs. Haven't looked at the center yet.

Custom pearl red paintjob, looks very fresh and some very nice body work has been done.

So, one step at a time, just need to get it running. Might consider selling the cage if someone is interested, I don't plan on rolling it any time soon.

    Here's some pics

Anyone on here wired up a KE70 4AGZE before?
My experience is limited, but I'm a mostly self taught person so now is the time to learn

that wiring is absolutely TERRIBLE, the person who did that should be shot.

Get an aftermarket ecu and get rid of that loom altogether.

to assist in future wiring - this is a steep learning curve, i've never really looked at a wiring schematic before today.

Get a haltech with a flying loom and just wire it from scratch. Slide86 is right when he says that it's a mess. Good to see you back into rolla ownership.

You plan on leaving it completely stock?
