    Small update:
All work was done between 9pm and 6 am, didn't think to take to many piccies sorry
Work cancelled out my shift last night so I bought a coupla cans and stuck into it.
Started by ripping the 20v back out and fitted up all of Sam's rwd goodies.
There was a 'guarantee void if removed' tab siliconed to the rear of the head which leads me to believe it's had the head gasket and possibly the head done at some point. It was in the way of Sam's cooling kit so I removed it but had me confused 'cause I originally thought it was a lug that bolted into the head. :p
Another thing was the water outlet pipe for the top rad hose had studs in the head which had to be removed before I could fit it and the vacuum pipes for the throttle bodies had to be bent out of the way.
    Some pics:

Decided to use the adm t-50 to get the car up and running until I source a w5x conversion. Some time was spent de-greasing and fitting that.

Also started the repair on the firewall:

Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll get the firewall finished, bay cleaned up and then engine back in.

Also gotta test run the engine with the microtech and coilpacks.

    Tyrone.

And here's a sneaky my bro took

    Another small update..

Test fitted a temp intake plenum.
Will use it till I can be bothered making something better with a removable top that doesn't hurt my overly large hands trying to bolt it on...

Had to pull out the dremel and grind down some weld cause it didn't let it seal.

Forgot to take pics when I finished grinding but none the less it fits and maybe I'll take some when I have to pull it back off..

Also re-bogged up the firewall for the second and hopefully last time filling in little holes and sht.

Will sand back and paint it in the next day or two and pray that no water gets to it in the meantime...

    That's all for now...

Just split with the missus so might not update this for a while...
Then again I might get stuck into it as stress relief...
    Time will tell I guess.

Thanks but nah, it was probably lack of communication more then anything else.
That and I just honestly couldn't see myself being happy in the long run.

    Another small update..
I didn't have much time b4 work today but I managed to grind out the relief in the alternator bracket and bent the crap outta dipstick bracket so it doesn't sit in the middle of the outlet pipe anymore.

I'm pretty sure I'll have to take some more off the alt bracket cause the hose only just fits atm.

Also received these in the mail.

    Small update:
Bought a heap of stuff from AJPS:
    Cusco engine mounts
    Trailing arm bushes
Front and back swaybar link and D bushes
    T-50 & W-5x shifter kits
And a front end kit which includes:
Super pro LCA bushes (in ajps specified 93a duro)
    Super pro caster rod bushes
    Super pro/AJPS rack mount bushes
    Lock spacer
    Slim line Ball joints
    Rack ends
    Slim line tie rod ends
    Rack boots

I also spent a bit of time sanding and then applying putty primer to the firewall:
    First coat

    Second coat

I'll sand that back tomorrow maybe then if I'm happy enough with it I'll hit it with some etch primer and then paint it.
If I can be fucked I'll spray the rest of the bay while I'm at it. Otherwise it'll stay like that 'till I have to pull the engine out again. (Seriously just wanna throw it together and drive it atm)

    Will update again shortly.

    Tyrone.

Well I sanded it back and I'm sure you can spot the bits I'm still not happy with but I seriously cbf so I'm gonna paint it as is anyway.

I'll upload some more pics later when it's done.

You don't really see it once the engine is back in, so i wouldn't panic too much about it... Still allot better than a gaping hole
