So your telling me you bought an 86 that has rust, is loud, isnt rego'd and is missing interior bits.
Whats new?
edit: 16/11/12
So this project ended up sitting around for the last 2 years but once again i'm in a situation where stuff can move forward..
Although I've decided to turn this into a track hack so all rwc stuff isn't needed anymore..
see page 2 for current pics and progress.
Hey guys, i've been on here for a coupla years now, every now and then stoppin by and indulging my sprinter fantasy
But last weekend i finally had the money up to go out and purchase one of these awesome little machines.
Now a short rundown of the car as it sits now:
to start its no reg or rwc but that doesnt matter cause i got it interstate and would have had to get that here anyway
The Goods:
-Obviously, its an ae86 :p
-working T-series lsd
-its an Australian delivered model and has had a 20v silver-top transplanted into it.
-It has a decent suspension setup, which is nice and hard and feels very solid and trustworthy on the road
-full slotted and drilled rotors + decent pads all round
-exhaust sounds like it flows freely
-decent sound system
-the style of mags i want in a close enough size- 15x6.5's
-The chasis seems straight.
The Bads
-the dizy needs to be replaced with individual coils or something because its currently squished against the firewall
-Its been stacked several times, theres damage and bog here there and everywhere lol
-every light/ indicator etc needs replaced
-one of the rims are buckled and needs straightened
-needs new carpet, the one in it looks melted where the drivers mat goes
-needs a new dash, this one is horrible and destroyed
-needs new tyres
-needs new clutch
-needs new drivers window winder setup
And I'm sure there's lots more lol. But i don't mind i'll work at it and sort it out
Thats all for now

craig, you such a hustler, lol
nice car man
~KEEP DRIFTING FUN~
just jdm is where its at haha, the man doesnt stuff about.
half my car has come from Craig.
so what plans do you have for this so far?
a little update, i bought another stock adm ae86 with the zenki trueno front end.
the body looks to be alot straighter so i've went out, bought the paint and crap and will be respraying that one and swapping all the good stuff over from the one pictured above and then i'll part out or sell whats left to recoup.
the previous owner decided it would be a good idea to leave the dizzy and leads on the silver-top so i'll be upgrading to coilpacks because the current setup leaves the dizzy jammed against the firewall.
umm other than that i have a shitload of work ahead so yeah, keep an eye on this thread for progress to come
one question though, does anyone know if i need an engineers certificate for the silver-top conversion in vic?
Edit: 16/11/12
Will create a separate thread for this one shortly as i'll be making this my daily, hopefully by jan-feb 2013.
watch this space for link

early model trueno front... VERY underplayed and good compared to hyped up late model truenos
good work and keep it underplayed.
