About 20mm wider than 86.
Spring seats are way too small to use 86 springs on.
Arm mounts are off by about 10mm but is still doable if your keen.
Ratios are usually around 4.1 I think...
ratios?
length?
anything anyone knows about them?

i own a ra60,rear is trd blues with a 8 kg ajps spring.
it gets alot of streeting, diff has been good for 7months til i did engine conversion, now it like does a massive clunk while driving.
changed trailing arms an bushes but didnt fi problem but?
so just putting another ra60 diff in but want to know specs between auto an manual?
ra60 diff requires:
ra60 tailshaft
new springs or seats
some kind of bushes for the diff mounts or drill out the crush tubes in the trailing arm bushes.
unsure about cables.
trailing arms fit fine with abit of creative jacking and hammer work.
dont drill out your flange like me, you will screw up your motor/gearbox and diff through vibrations.
ratio is 3.9 im pretty sure. not sure if its auto or manual.
zenki lsd's fit
10mm extra track each side
ae86 panhard bolts up but i think you need adj.
ra40 diffs need swaybar mounts welded on ra60 do not.
86 springs can work but look like they will fall out very often.
thats all i know.
the only difference is the ratios auto is 4:1 ans manual is some thing i dont know lol
you play halo?
add me GT: samnbhnc
manuals must be 3.9 then
yeah coolies thanks guys.
thinking auto diff should have better ratios.
bringing this back out! anyone have the spring diameter of the ra40 rear sprins. i looked every where but all i can find is "springs seats on ra40 are slightly smaller" i have a ra40 diff in my ke70 and want to know what spring to use so i can order them ke70/ae86 springs have a 110mm O.D im sure, anyone know the O.D of the rear ra40..??

What's the ra60 diameter? Think they might be the same..?
