Why does it matter if you book for grip or drift?
Just book for grip / continuous laps, and if people wanna get loosey goosey then let them? or would that be hell dang-a-russ?
Could do like 30 minute sessions of each or something?

morning grip then avo drift works well.
keeps girls like cal complaining about rubber and dirt over the track;
defently need to cater for both though. EC's not so good for drift?
If its at eastern creek ill make my way there as long as my car is going at that time, and im sure stouty would also.
I had my ae86 out on the Eastern creek track yesterday. Had a awesome time, but was too short. I did quite well on the track and the skidpan was great fun. I would definatly put my name down if we had a day at eastern creek or Wakefield....

OK, after having a good look at all the feedback, it seems that "locally" organised track days are going to work best.
We are going to revisit the idea of setting up AE86DC as either a CAMS (or similar) registered car club this year.
Pending a HUGE amount of work that needs to be delegated to each state, we will run with a pilot program in Brisbane, and if there is enough positive response and call for it inter-state, we will mirror the setup and think about rolling it out in other cities.
One idea in particular stands out to me, as I don't wish to alienate any particular xExx RWD chassis is that we run by engine class. That way the guy who rocks up in the 4AC AE71 can still have a go while others guys with SR20DET KE70's can still run in their own class.
At this stage, I won't be catering as such for non-toyota platforms as there are several other clubs that cover that kind of stuff.
I will begin investigating the renting of Qld Raceway / other tracks later next week while I come up with a format.
Cheers
Nick
