    Default Kevin Bake'm!

So i have finally decided to make a build thread. So here goes...

Its a 1984 AE71, originally a stock manual 4ac. Got it from a member off here. When i got it rego'd:

    Now:

    Suspension:
    -Front:
    AE86 struts/brakes
8kg custom springs, which i had to cut anyway (more to come off)
    KYB shocks
    Cusco camber tops, max neg
Quaife quick rack with superpro bushes
    t3 tie rods
    t3 steering arms
    nolathane lca bushes
    new ball joints
    21mm whiteline swaybar
    max castor
    4mm overall toe out

    -Rear:
Cut falcons (maybe more off also)
    KYB shocks
    18mm whiteline swaybar

    Engine:
Bigport 4age, with twin 45mm webers
    ebay adjustable cam gears
4age oil cooler, with remote filter mount
Low pressure fuel pump mounted in the bay
    Adjustable fuel pressure reg
cheap copy 4into1 extractors, heat wrapped, 2-1/4inch over diff, with a hotdog and another similar sized straight through muffler

    Driveline:
    t50
    Exedy HD clutch
    new spigot and thrust bearing
    Kaizen banjo clutch line
    0-way L.S.D (Locked standard, 0-ways both wont spin )

    Other stuff:
    SSR Starsharks (bought through otomoto)
    Fronts: 14x7.5, 0 offset, with 185/60 re001's
    Rears: 14x7.5 -8 with hero 185/60
Also some SSR meshies 14x6.5 low offset with some 185/60's
    360mm nardi
3 defi style gauges: water and oil temp, oil pressure.
    Dori button
    Fire extinguisher
Black fixed-back seat, mounted on stock rails

    Pics:
    Dirty!

If it looks weird, it may be because the car is on a driveway that goes up then flattens off

    Things to go in:
kaaz 2-way to suit kouki (if i can find a diff)
    More labor of love

    Things to do:
    drift it.
    4agte
    get t-series
    Coilovers, most likely bc's
    Adjuastable lca's
    lower
    panhard rod
    front strut brace
    Get a proper seat
    Half/full cage, with harness
    drift it more.

    Cheers!

Cheers guys, got some pics today but not the best because of the weather, ill try again tomorrow. I'll put em up anyway.

Na sven, Ive got another daily but once i get the new setup dialed ill drive it when the sites i go to permit haha. Still has reg.

...So heres the full story shortened.
Lowered it and put the 86 struts in and the 86p/s arms (which were longer than rolla ones?). Drove it for a while. Blew headgasket. Reco'd head with cam regrind and heavy v/springs. Got exhaust done, 2inch press bend with hotty and hi flow muffler. Sounded good. Got 32/36 carby and electronic ignition. Drove it some more, it was nice. Bought the 4agc. Looked at it and drooled for a while. 4ac was leaking oil in various and still unknown places. Chipped away putting stuff on 4agc. Got another daily. Pulled centre out and got it welded. SO GOOOOD!!. Did swaybars. Tight. Decided it was time. 4ac came out. Did some stuff. 4agc went in. Couldnt get it to start, no spark. Problem-No ignition module haha. Started it. ITS ALIVE. Its missing though.

So pretty much here we are today, thats a basic summary, i was doing a detailed one then the comp crashed lol. shit.

I did a comp test just before, as i found a leaking o-ring on one of the carbies and as it didnt rectify the problem, i was fearing something more serious. Got 130-ish across the board so im pretty wrapped. #3 plug wasnt very nice though, showed some signs of running too rich whilst the rest were good. So now ill go to the exhaust place and get a 2.25inch system, not sure on what mufflers but i want it under diff with a flange just before if so i can break it when i need to drop the diff. And hopefully the carby man can rectify the problem. Then it will be off to winton and what not. Hopefully it will be ready by the feb meet, if not to enter then at least to drive up.
