The clubman you speak of uses a mid mounted engine I think. I've switched the engine around and put it in the normal spot

ok i'm back and i've done some more work. I've been nutting out the front end and i pretty much have it all done, the steering rack has to be moved, not real happy with steering angles, and i need to machine up some spacers for a few bits and pieces. So like i said pretty much done. here's some pics.

lower ball joint is a spherical bearing, i had to machine up the adaptor to fit where the ball joint would be on steering knuckle, i can adjust roll centre by adding and/or removing spacers

I did not want to weld to the strut body, even though they are the inverted style insert, so i had to make this clamp style mount, alot of fucking around but worked out really well.

    the clamp from another angle

Here you can see nearl evrything, strut, hub, lca, and castor rod, everything is adjustable

heres some pics of the lower control arm, made from 1 1/4" cr/mo tube and 3mm cr/mo sheet, might look a little chunky but actually quite light i run a larger dia tube so i can use a thinner wall, just need to put sway bar link mounts on it, but i'll work that out when i make and mount the bar.
