13t is just a bit more powerful than a regular 3t.
okay so story goes after owning 2 previous ke70's and a AE71 i swore never to buy another corolla again, reason for that is i knew if i had one i would spend too much money and time on it.
however then an offer to good to resist came up, a relatively clean ke70 came up for sale for $150 so i bought it ha
Anyway i didnt really want to go for 4A
they were just too expensive for me and i didnt want to hack apart my car trying to mount all the EFI junk and what not.
i really liked the idea of keeping it sort of classic, so i bought a 13TU out of a wrecked T18
its pretty much a fancy name for a 3TC as far as i can tell, they look identical.
so yeah ive started pulling it apart, and degreasing and cleaning pretty much eveything.
just finished putting the AE71 crossmember in today with XT130 LCA's.
still got a long way to go but ill try keep this updated as often as i can.
currently its got this cheese on it:
-luisi wheel
-14x6 or 7 unknown wheels on the front, i totally forgot what they are called?
-14x7 Volk mesh on the rear
-XT130 LCA
-commodoore springs in the rear... -_-"
-ae71 x member
day before the 4k died.. wonder why..
13TU
nothing
as it sits
sorry for the shitty phone pictures ill get my decent ones one day
wish me luck
13t is just a bit more powerful than a regular 3t.
yeah apparently so, do you know what's so different about the 13t in comparison to the 3t?
pretty sure just emissions, maybe other stuff but all ive heard is emissions stuff.
hemispherical pistons
nice borris
so its got nothing to do with emissions at all?
thanks haydn, race ya one time hohoho
There are emissions aswell yes.
Looks good man keep us updated! :0
ah sweet thanks for clearing that up
got my flywheel machined, made up a few plugs to block the emmisions stuff and got my gearbox x member done.
now quick question, can I run ke70 steering arms on xt130 lcas?
I've bolted it all together and the steering is so out, its fucked hahaha, im guessing all I need to do is adjust the length of the rods connecting to the steering arms?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks
