    Default fault codes

hey all, iv got a 83 ae86 its stock in the engine department (blue top 4age) but ever since iv had it its had a high idle (13-1400), its starting to seriously piss me off.

its always always thrown fult code 11 which apparantly is this

    code 11
    Switch signal
Diag: Air conditioning switch and IDL point in the throttle position sensor is ON (not regestered in memory)

what the hell does that mean??? iv just tried a new TPS but nothng has changed. still throws the code still idles hgh

    any ideas????

    thanks guys

have u tried setting the tps up properly, download the manual. if the tps it not in the right position it will effect the idle.

Good point. Put a multimeter on the TPS and adjust it.

But that will only fix a fault code, not the high idle.

With A/C off, adjust your idle speed with the bleed screw on the throttle body, flat screwdriver. It maybe under a rubber plug, but often the plug is missing.
