I surgest that the T-18 diff had been swapped for a smaller one (not T series), or the Celica diff had been swapped with a bigger one.

How many bolts? How many sun gears? Diameter of the crown wheel roughly?

8 bolts = S series. Someone has swapped the diff with their Sprinter, or some other import.

All Toyota diffs look the same. Just different sizes.

The BorgWarner is a rare Australian only thing, came on some Australian assembled Corollas and Coronas.
