    Vehicle: formula vee
    Track: baskerville
    Best lap time: 62:4?

Brief description on why it would have been faster: bit more practice, warmer track and tyres, driver lacking balls to hold it completly flat accross the top of the hill....

Your account on how memory alone has kept the above figures crystal clear in your mind: only got half way round on the next lap

    Vehicle: formula vee
    Track: symmons plains
    Best lap time: 73:??

Brief description on why it would have been faster: vw 1200cc= no grunt

Vehicle: datsun 1600, l16 with a pair of webers
    Track: baskerville
    Best lap time:60:??

Brief description on why it would have been faster: open diff, cut 240 springs and 240k shocks

Your account on how memory alone has kept the above figures crystal clear in your mind: lifting front wheel around the top of the hill

I've heard it helps if you have a car finished, then you're able to drive it.

But meh, I guess its ok to settle for just dreaming and dribbling shit about how good its going to be....

Neither do I. But in saying that, i'd rather have 1 decent finished track car than have 4 buckets all unfinished....

Yes, so you've said every time anyone's so much as mentioned 'baskerville'
I've never pretended to claim to have done anything spectacular on either baskerville nor symmons, and I think any post without a print out is not worthwhile anyway. I know I wont bother posting times until I have it on paper for evidence, otherwise I end up sounding like you.....
