Hey just curious if I can run a T series diff, with just a 4K and 5-speed box?

diff is on the way out and have an engine conversion planned later down the track which will require a diff upgrade anyway. figured I may as well go t series

    Cheers, Ben.

you'll most likely have to run a custo tailshaft unlsee you can bolt together a kesev and a t-18 diff, might have different splines though, i wouldn'tput my money on it.. so yeah probably just custom tailshaft but apart from that it should bolt up

    you can.

but do you mean as in like with bolt in parts?

if you do, something about a series 1 T-18 tailshaft will work . like it will slide into the gearbox or the back half has the same spline for the front half of a k50 or something.

or as in actualy diff will bolt in?
yes, its a direct replacement aslong as you get a series 2 rear end. series 1 you have to weld sway bar mounts onto it.

a t series is like super overkill for a 4k though. if i was you id just keep the borgie in there and hammer it untill your ready to do the whole conversion and then do the diff then aswell.

but hey, if you want to muck around with these ideas go for it.

Yeh hey I realise a t series is overkill for a completely stock 4K but I may as well only swap diffs once instead of twice if I can

so possibly series 2 t18 diff, and series 1 t18 tailshaft may work with 4k and 5speed

    Cheers, Ben.

I have been told that a complete T18 tail shaft will make it happen for you. Apparently the K50's are the same 20 spline as the T18 T50's. Cannot be certain though, but it would be your best bet, otherwise custom shaft.

Yes, but it has to be a early T-18.

so there the same spline, same length and shit?

also t18 diff is same length as ke70 diff? wont affect wheel fitment?

    Cheers, Ben.
