    Default beige KE70

    Update! 20/10/09

    Started abit like this..

    Car: 1982 KE70 Corolla

Engine: 1.3-litre 4KC rebuilt by original owner

    Gearbox: K50 5-speed
    Diff: standard

Brakes: adm AE86 solid front discs and calipers, Ferrodo pads, standard rears

    Suspension
Front: AE86 front struts, KYB Excel G short-strokes, 215mm 8kg Tein (?) springs, XT130 Corona LCAS, Super Pro lcas bushes
Rear: KYB Excel G short-strokes, 210mm Falcon springs, a few Superpro bushes all round

    Wheels/Tyres
    Front: 15x8 -9 Challengers in 195/50 Kumho's
    Rear: 15x8 -9 Challengers in 195/50 Kumho's

Exterior: original beige paint, rolled guards

Interior: awesome brown shit, 360mm Nardi steerer on 65mm HKB boss, tacho dash, AJPS handbrake button, Kenwood cd player, Kenwood 6" splits in rear

Started collecting bits for it, ended up with some decent sus and rolling just over an inch to the crossmember on 13x8 MK2s and Mk1s (now on Elliots KE70)

Plans were originally for a CA18DET, but as you'd expect at that height shit got defected and was off the road for a good 4 months as I lost motivation for a rusty Corolla and looked into buying a Nissan..

Was looking at selling it once off defect but I still had a heap of parts so decided to keep it and finish what I started. Trying to have it on the road again, and doing skids before the new year.

Nah not too much rust in her, a little bit under the fuel filler which isnt too bad, and a little in the bottom corners of the rear guards.

yes I am the new owner, and yeh I like it...

Thanks I've had a fair few comments about the wheels. fitment is sweet, rear guards are perfect now, fronts will need further work when dropped for coilys.

Dave should have a few new customers soon lol. old school drift gemi dude (adelaide people will know what I talking about) and owner of white r32 (was australias quickest GTR a few years ago) both want these rims now for their gemi and RX2 respectively.

gave them both an AJPS card I had in my wallet, and told them to head there

    Cheers, Ben.

picked up an AE86 Cusco strut brace yesterday, and its about 6mm too short gah

it is an adjustable item, and I have the bar on the very end of both threads without it falling out. Still need to get another 5+mm

Is there a trick to getting it on?

    Cheers, Ben.
