    Dreaming hahaha!!

More pictures of the motor in the car... Its a challenge to get it in...

quoted from my facebook: " Cut the shit out of the car, take the crossmember out, then lift the body to the roof then push the motor under it then lower the body then use the engine crane to lift the engine up then put the crossmember in and bolt it in. "

Seventy, it's not to bad hey.... Motor is far back but the seats aren't to far back but won't be fitting an adult in the behind the passenger seat because I plan for floor pedals so seat is far back anyway!

Oh also I have to cut all the trans tunnel out and redo it all again -_-. Tomorrows job is to get the motor in there with the engine mounts all welded 100% with the gearbox mount all welded in. I want it sitting in there.. then once thats all done I will bolt the gearbox mount in without the gearbox/engine and cut the tunnel out and recreate a tunnel 400 wide to comfortable fit the 6 speed box in. It will be big in the KE since its so little. Once thats done, start the firewall boxing.

    Shortened cross member for KE10

    Sitting in its new home

Should be able to fit a decent exhaust into it!

Sumps abit of a worry but hopefully it won't get ripped off.

Mounts have been made but first half of the day went to cutting more of the firewall out because it just wasn't sitting right and the firewall was rooted anyway so might as well start over. Somebody added a brake booster in about 1990..... and they just hacked and stick welded it in.

current plans are to lower the crossmember 40mm, gives me more room in the engine bay, allows me to get the rear coil pack and allows room for a strut brace. Lowering the crossmember would typically make it handle like poo but since I'm start from scratch with the suspension it doesn't matter!

More pictures soon.. I hope to atleast have it mounted by tonight, but I think I'm dreaming hahahah!

    Space the crossmember down

Engine sits further back and lower too!

Haha I don't have the dosh to drysump it or even put ITB's on it. I was going to buy a set but changed my mind when I worked out a realistic price of what it will cost to finish it off so the plan is to finish it off, then once I've recovered from the intial hit I will build the motor up...
