    Default Another Coilover question

    Car:Nissan s13
Problem: TOO LOW..YES too low! also wanting a bit of drop
Comments: whats best way to set up the coilover for some drop

Hey guys, so basically the above is the issue, i installed them last night and over 6hours of hard mucking around with ride height, it still ended up being to low, i packed it up and went to bed since it was already 1am in the morning

Driving to work, or should i say out of the drive way, basically dragged the exhaust and rails just getting off the drive way so its going to need a readjustment in ride height

ok so down to business, the rear coilovers are fine, they have nice drop, needs a lil more height
the Fronts though is a lil confusing, right now its on the lowest ride height available setting, will be making it have about 25mm more in height, by just changing height will i get drop? im only adjusting height from the bottom of the coilovers, im not adjusting it with the springs by winding them downwards, so do i have to wind down the springs to get some drop effect? cause i dont want to blow the shocks

shouldn't be hard to answer right? just thought i'll get it out there so i dont waste 6hours thinking ive done it the right way

anyways, just finished fixing the height, its not so SLAMMED on its cross member anymore, but i still haven't test drove it yet, eating dinner right now LOL

also adjusted the damper to 20 out of 33 clicks at all four corners, should take away the comfortableness and turn it into a tyre skidding eating camber wearing stiffness of a monster when hard parking, Phuck yeah *badass face*
and i think i gained a few more mm in drop but well see on the test drive later tonight =p

let me get this straight rice96 your suggesting he should adjust the height of the cat to increase the rate of suspension droop? or are you getting droop mixed up with drop?

I'm confused why you want droop in the first place. Just make your springs captive with the collars and set the height with the adjusters (assuming your coilovers have both adjustments)
