    REGISTER OR SIGN IN
    its all good people put a new water pump in, new thermostat, hoses, new radiator( double the thickness of standard ) plus reversed my old thermo to make it pull type and now run a thermo temp sensor nice and easy to install

    i wouldnt say no power drain, no such thing as free energy, an elecric motor will simply put more load on the elecrical system, causing the alternator to work harder,

    ie. you still get 'power drain' on the motor wether you use mechanical or electical waterpump. it would be interesting though to see how much difference in 'power drain' the two setups would have.

    i got an excel radiator in my ae71, the one that everyone recommends for the swap only just a single thermo. And i actually came with two sensors on it, one is a water temp sensor and the other is an air temp sensor. Wires from one of the sensors run into the thermo fan. I just wired 12V power to the thermo fan and when it heats up the standard hyundai sensors attached to the radiator switch the thermo on and off!!! Turns out the Hyundai can actually do something rightr!!!
