no. it doesnt. the steering arms are from the same car, and a power steering car has the same rack position. both set ups are "factory" geometry.

the bump steer characteristics might be slightly altered. scrub radius not at all, ball joint pivot is not moved.

The "power steering" arms plus manual rack is the factory combo used on the AE86 GTV.

(But the GTV rack itself is a different part number, not sure how it's different).

Either way, scrub radius is not effected.

i just wanted to prove to a guy i been speaking to, he wants to buy an ae86 for hillclimbing days, but seems to think even though it for the same car since its a smaller knuckle or w.e will cause bump steer problems along with scrub radius probs
even though i know shitall about geom i knew a few smart cookies lurk these forums and they wouldnt do this mod if it caused these problems someone like jonny rochester is probably one of the people id trust knowledge from easily

quicker ratio as i understand it. rare part, hard to track down in this country.

seems to be the case though. there are definitely differences in rack ratios.

ive noticed it when centering the rack for initial set up of the car. you wind it to lock, then wind back the other way, note the turns, and try to get it in the middle. some jap cars have a slightly quicker steering ratio.. less turns lock to lock.

Standard: 3.5 turns lock to lock
    GTV 3
    Quaife: 2.5

GTV is nice and good budget upgrade. Have been running one for a number of years. Not as heavy as Quaife, which are farking heavy when the car isn't rolling.

The arms on GTV's are the same as power steering. Shorter arm effect's ackerman angles.

Will noticably improve bump steer if you are running NCRCA's
