    Default the chickenfeed hooker

hello, thought i might put up some photos of the starting point of a little project of mine, it'll be boring to the rest of you so feel to not comment and let it roll to the back of the line, but hey, it gives me something to do tapping away at the keyboard here while i wait for parts

as it sits it's bone stock
4kc k50, stock diff, stock everything with 'lower' springs

plans are...4ag, t50, welded s series, coilovers etc and get to a few events, have some fun and not have it cost me too much

any reason to keep borgy? always keen to hear some info! just happen to have an s series and like the fact the bigger drums make it easier with the handbrake
no rust at all, just can't decide on wheels, kinda keen to steer away from the 'put deep 14'' jdm yo wheels or go and die' thing going on
ideas? i'd like to keep it around the 13-14-15 range and have decent offset but cbf paying 1000 for a s/hand pair of rims that will only end up trashed by ripplestrips, lack of love and prob stolen knowing where i live!

+1 on s series bigger drums for better handbrake

but from my experience s series axels are weaker, only think you tend to break on a borgy is gears/welds

s series are the weakest diff, borgys have the strongest axles, dont go s series, they are a failure of a diff. t series or borgy.
2 years of drift abuse + dailying of my welded borgy and its still going strong

    Are those hotwires 13x7?
    If so,
Step 1. Rattle can satin black or polish heaps.
    Step 2. 175/60R13.
    Step 3. 15mm spacers.
    Step 4. LOWER.
    Step 5. Profit. =D

i'm getting noob cained here!!! i don't mind the borg but from experience i've bent borg drum shoes, as has joshke and skid_ke70, i do agree borgs look like better axles but i've never snapped an axle, only done one t50 (did all of baskerville in third in my sprinter on of the runs at round 3 last year trying to keep up with a 250+rwkw rb30 180sx, i def FAILED at that) so either i've been really lucky so far or my left leg is as limp as my old fella.
i don't mind the old borg at all, better ratio out of teh box too, jus like s an t series brakes but hey who cares, i'll keep the borg if it makes people happy
they are 13 x 7 hotwires, they have 175/65s on them with 8mm slip ons, i painted the centres gunmetal, polished the lip and chopped the shit outta the springs, i will report no profit has been made, nor have i gotten laid because of this car
if anything i'm recording a loss, not a profit, as i bought a bigport, t50, trd copy pipes, ae92 starter, some liftpump thing, kaibeecee sr20 mounts (just in case...you know....) and a few other things
should all arrive in teh next few weeks.
need a high press fuelpump, ae71 gearbox crossmember (i'll prob jus make one, too hard sourcing this shit) and some time to wop it all in
oh and make an exhaust. whats the winningest size of exhaust and how many mufflers, that dude taht races a 20v ke25 uses a bike muffler on the back i heard, true? sounds interesting!!
    respect your nan
