I have relocated the battery in my ae86 (3 door) to the boot, and have stumbled across some conflicting information and just want to gain clarity before i poison myself
The battery is an Mf type, not a gell or dry. It has a breather tube of which i am planning to run to the outside of the cabin.
However i have heard that this is not safe enough, and that i will need to run a dry or gell type battery like what optima has.
So does anyone know definatley what the deal with batteries in-cabin is?
Cheers
i work as an electrician on boats and if we ever put mf sealed ledacid batteries in a cabin or in a living area of a vessel we just vent them to the outside with a tube as you suggested that vent is the only release the battery has so it will be fine if you do that and alot cheaper than a gell battery.
