Default Throttle body small port to RWD big port manifold

Would a small port FWD throttle body fit a RWD big port manifold?

Also, will the big port TPS fit on the small port throttle body? The connectors are different.

    Thanks xero.

Throttle shaft broke on the big port during Ararat hillclimb yesterday. I can borrow a small port throttle body from my son until I sort mine out, and just wanted to know if it fits.

    Cheers

It will fit, but not function properly. The breather port on the fwd t/b is on the oposite side to a rwd t/b. There for it will be blocked, and any crankcase pressure will blow anything out (usually your dipstick and a lot of oil with it). If you run a catch can it will be ok, otherwise you need to place the breather hose pre t/b.

Now with tps. Yes and no is the answer. Dependant on a few things:
If the smallport t/b is off a JDM engine and the tps came off a rwd bigport or jdm fwd bigport, then it will fit.
If the smallport t/b is off a JDM engine and the tps came off a fwd adm bigport it will not fit and needs the adaptor butterfly wings swapped over.
If the smallport t/b is off an ADM engine and the tps came off a fwd adm bigport it will fit.
If the smallport t/b is off an ADM engine and the tps came off a rwd or jdm fwd bigport it will not fit and needs the adaptor butterfly wings swapped over.

    Thanks Nikkojoe - great info.

Breather hose pre-throttle body is no problem. Mind you, this is only a temporary fix until I can get hold of another JDM RWD throttle body.

By adaptor butterfly wings, do you mean the metal prongs on the non-cable end of the throttle shaft that engages the TPS?

don't run the breather hose pre throttle, you will end up with gunk and grime which will clog up the throttle body. my car (smallport) was set up like this when i got it and took me ages to clean the throttle body properly...
