So story is, contacted the owner on thursday, went and saw it on sunday, was in my garage on sunday arvo.
Drive back home took bit over 4 hours through pouring rain, flooded roads and fogged up windscreens.
Was very sketchy to say the least haha. Not used to no powersteering and locked diff but was deff worth it and all good.
Main plans are to fix up the flared front guards as they are very ruff, replace tail light, replace rhf light, paint some fixed rust spots, fix bonnet as its abit damaged and sort the seat out as i only just fit in it lol. Give the engine/underbody a proper look at and fix shit if need to be fixed.
So only earing 70 a week and getting paid fortnighty progress will be slow but im going to get a casual job/do labouring then,
Then once i go full time apprentice mechanic,
15x8-25 Diamond racing rims- haters gunna hate
re rego as a 2 seater
Strip almost fully
half cage
start giving the engine so loving.
So here's some pics

Ahk well it took about 10 hours to get their and back for me so was a bloody long trip haha.
Thanks man, you 86 is looking smick. Love the way it looks and mods done to it.
Whats the deal with re rego-ing it as a 2 seater?
Just get rid of well basically everything behind the front seats and take off seat belts ect weld up holes and all good to go?
Oh right sweet, yea its got abit of rust, jamie fixed probly 60% of it and im just waiting on good weather to give it some paint.
Other bits are the rear guards, tiny bit on the roof and thats about it. Not to bad.
Did you do anything to the motor when you had it?
um i dont know bout re rego as 2 seater,my pinkslip guy breifly mentioned he could do a engineers report and add the changed seating capacity to that
but i never botherd as i drive the car maybe 2 or 3 times a month on streets and twice of those times are to ec skid pan,if your going to daily i think it would
be best to get it all legal,my pinkslip guy reckons he could do me a report for 2 seater, half cage, seat and coils for around 800 give or take so theres a ball park figure to keep in mind.
