So I bought this baby my 3rd 86 back about 2006 for $800 as a shell with complete panels and half a dash a welded s series.
It was light yellow with a black bonnet. bought a bigport 4ag for 100 bucks and all the accesories to make it run and got a t series for freeeeee.
I stripped it down to a rolling shell and trailered it to work, repaired all the rust, got rid of the door locks and resprayed it in dark purple with blue and red pearl. Got a jblood copy front and vertex rear bar and some struts with a magna rotor and galant caliper convo and of course ps arms, also already had ta23 celica lcas. put the full interior in and drove it to work for a while as is.
Then i had a little spare cash and decided it was time to make it fast about 2 years ago. I had a spare ze from my skid car, a smallport head and all the other pieces off the na engine. had a spare clutch and the old t series from my drift car with TRD 2 way.
Had a t28 nonbb turbs lying around aswell so that went on and tuned it on 12ps1 for 129kw wich farkin flew.
THe old t28 was blowing massive ammounts smoke so I decided it was time to make it look a bit better in the engine bay so i re-wired the fuse box and moved it under the dash to clean that up. While this was in progress i blew up my skid 4a engine and put the SR in, so i had the flyhweel clutch and w56 hilux gearbox out of a 2004 lux and the t28bb. Back on the dyno and tuned on 13psi made 135kw and with the lux ratios was an absolute weapon on the street.
With all the mods the car was getting a bit too much to drive on the street and rudely enough Japanese motorsport had a silvertop 20v which i couldnt refuse. So i decided it was time to build a decent na engine as i have never had a powerful NA engine, well that and getting my 2 first speeding fines in the bastard in a year!!!!
so now its sitting in the shed waititng for someone to buy the turbs engine so i can get the 20v in there!!!! build pics up later
