You've got a severe case of aids motherfucker

Nah it just needs a full in and out rebuild, with most things done by me, so I know what's dodgy and what's not. Mind you the conversion from 4ac to 4age was done about 15 years ago. So shit's bound to fail.

I still love it, even if she is a bit of a slut.

It's ratshit at the moment. It's really struggling can't do hills. Got myself a smallport 212mm flywheel yesterday arvo and went and saw Dougie at NPC to talk about a clutch.

Take my flywheel in on Monday and see if it's still useable (Friction surface is pretty low), then he can machine it up and I'll pick up my kit. Hopefully go in sometime next week.

Can't wait to drive with a good clutch again.

Needs rear guard work, I hit a pothole on boundary road in coopers plains and it shredded a 400mm long piece of rubber off the right hand rear tyre.

They're going to build me a 212 heavy duty organic kit, with a bit more clamp ontop. I want the T50 to last a little bit longer.

Should be good for hammering and daily driving.

Picked up my clutch kit and machined smallport 212mm flywheel from NPC this arvo and a mate and myself went to work putting it in.

    Kit comprises of:
Exedy Heavy Duty Pressure plate (With added force by NPC)
    Heavy Duty organic plate (212mm)
    Throwout bearing.

Couple pics of the clutch kit and flywheel (Has a pretty course grind for more grip)

The problem parts. Left is the throwout bearing that was in there when we pulled it out. Looks to be factory toyota, don't think this has been changed in a while. On the right is the nachi one that NPC provided, which as you can see is alot thinner and it didn't fit the fork quite right, so after some modifications we made it all fit.

I don't think the throwout is pushing the pressure plate in quite enough, it clears when the pedal is in after some master adjustment. But The pedal grip is quite soft and close to the firewall. Will be trying to track down possibly a toyota one or an aftermarket version.

Good to know the flywheel worked out for you. Car should be more fun now with a working clutch.

Haha yeah mate it's working a treat now, did a few hard runs past your house late last night/early this morning just to bed it in a bit. Thanks very much again for that.

All has been rectified, picked up a new bearing and got it pressed onto the old sleeve. Clutch has full travel and feels great now, thanks to that course grind it has loads of grip.

I will post up the part number later for anyone who's looking at doing a clutch soon and needs the correct throwout bearing.

Haven't posted many updates lately, but here's a couple pics of how she sits of late. Picked up the whitelines on the weekend and polished them up. Had to raise it back over 100mm cause of po-po, want to flare the rear guards so it can go lower all round not just the front.

    Pics:

Bought all new rear shoes, wheel cylinders and an axle bearing kit to fix the arse up end a bit. Needs some TLC.
