Default Injector Service Kit - need some help!

    Good evening all

I am currently installing efi onto the bigport 4age in my ae71. I am also replacing all the injector seals, etc so that I don't have any nasty fuel leaks when it is all back together.

My question is, in the top of the injector (on the end that plugs into the fuel rail) there is a microfilter - basically a thin mesh cylinder that pushes down into the top of the injector - does anyone know how the hell to get it out? I have new filters in the kits I purchased so would definitely like to change them over (especially as I think I have damaged one trying to get it out). I can't find any clips or anything like that, so I am assuming it basically pulls out of the injector and the new one slides back in.

If anyone could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers, Nat

The kit cost $30 - other than this little filter I can't get out it will probably take me about 1 min per injector to do. I'd say it would be $25 per injector to have it done professionally

Can anyone help me with this stupid filter? Or should I just cut it and pull it out that way?
