KE pano,

Well, never really got around to moving any of my KE threads over. So here's one of them, Full build KE Sedan will be up once complete.

So I bought this off ebay for $500, it was rough, missing bits and pieces but ran good. I reamed the front end off it, threw it on the KE sedan and imported headlights to suit. Bought a AE71 sedan for $50 and reamed that for parts too, and took the front end off and put it on the pano.

Imported Rear windows to replace all the panels, put them in yesterday. Looks mint.

So basically here it is:

Engine:
4K-c
Aftermarket Cam
Shaved head
5K carb
Stiff valve springs

Suspension front:
AE86 front struts
5KG AJPS Springs
40mm AJPS RCA
KYB excel G short strokes
Cusco Camber tops
Cusco strut brace
JDM calipers
Vented disks

Rear:
In the process of re-arranging and flipping leaves
KYB excel G shocks

Exterior:
Primer
AE71 front end conversion
JDM rear windows
13x6 Delta mesh


So yeah, Its a piece of shit really. I have long term plans for it, but not much at the moment. Reason I'm leaving engine until almost last is because I want to learn to slide without much power, with a decent suspension setup. I think I'd learn more that way.

Plans:
Wheels (Wata's, 14x8 at least.)
Put my JDM front on it
Convert to 4 link rear (equal length maybe)
Engine/gbox/diff (7ag carb 16v, BT 20v or a beams 3sge)

Hang on, you swapped the Panno panels with a sedan? There different legth quarters, different bonnet, beaver, etc. Or are you a man with a good Mig and a grinder?

Yep, swapped panelvan front panels onto my sedan, then put the Slant front onto the panelvan. To make it more confusing, I have a JDM wagon front here to go onto this car When the time is right (probably when engine conversion comes along).

Its all interchangeable, basically the same as putting a flat front onto a slant front.

Its amazing how simple the front end swap is between slant and panelvan fronts.

All the bolt holes are in the right spot, the gaurds fit the doors and pillars properly, and the bonnet catch lines up without swapping it too.

Just a pain in the arse to find good pano fronts these days.

So basically when I smash the front in on my panno one day, a sedan flat front will bolt on. This is good news, time to start sliding it harder.

Engine Bay has less wires than that now, just lots of loose ones that went to no where.

Colour will be a stock toyota colour without the metallic. I like the look of old corollas with no metallic, with big wheels to match. Anywho, what do you all think? I know it needs to be lower...

Yeah, if it doesnt scrape on the majority of the bumps you hit, its not low enough.

Putting AE86 front struts in as we speak. Specs up front now are:

21mm Panelvan swaybar
Superpro Caster arm bushes
Superpro Rack Bushes
Superpro front Swayber bushes
Superpro front Swaybar link bushes
XT130 LCAs
AJPS 40mm RCA

Also put in a new brake master cylinder while I was at it.
Just have to finish this off and then rip out the rear leaves to get them reset.

Good choice with the rear windows. Can't stand smaller windows in them but the big ones which fill out the whole space are mint.

Please tell me you're going to be running chrome bumpers with black end caps?

You'd make me even more happy if you say you're planning on spraying it that sexy dark brown again too. Although perhaps its just me who has a thing for that particular dark Toyota brown.

For the moment, no. Just stock plastic bars until I find another good pair of chrome bars.
Dark brown doesn't do it for me, it's like a silver/green/blue colour that I'll be putting on.
