    Default shortround's olive levin buildup

Hey guys, thought it was about time I put up some pics of my levin... It's a 1983 ADM Sprinter.

After finding a heap of rust a few years ago behind the guards, I decided to rebuild it from the ground up. I finished painting the car over the Christmas break and am slowly putting it back together. The colour was randomly chosen from a sample book... I'll put up the specs soon, but for now I will let the pics to the talking!

This is how she looked when I purchased her many years ago. I paid $1000 for it from a guy in Sydney and he threw in a brand new $500 Pioneer amp.

The red one in the background was purchased like that!! The bonnet of the blue one was painted in house spec paint.... it took a very very long time to strip it back to bare metal!!

    Stripped down:

    Engine bay painted

    Smallport 4age installed and running

    Painted insides

Paint done... I don't want to do that again in a hurry.

    Satin black bumperbars installed

    Interior going in

After she is back together again, I'll get some rego then in will go all the suspension parts etc.

thanks guys, I was really happy with how the colour turned out... esp. since it was painted in a mate's driveway

The engine bay was seam welded around the strut towers and the rails, and then covered over with a lick of bog. Looks good from far, but not that flash up close...

That red 86 was purchased as it was in the photo. I bought it for the smallport 4a, and the T series diff which turned out to be a kouki model!

Apparently the guy was trying to slide around a local industrial area. The car had an open diff, and one of the wheels gripped 1/2 way though a slide sending him into the side of a building! The thing was a huge mess.... bent the passenger side rail all the way up to the firewall! Was a shame cause the car had no rust at all....

Good work man. I really like the colour, in fact, I was thinking about painting mine a similar colour to this a few months ago. That kouki interior looks fair mint as well.

    Keep us posted!
