Default t-series centre all same ?

    hi guys .

skid pan is on this weekend, so to make it in time i have soruced a t-series zenki diff open centre that i will be locking until i get my replacement parts for my lsd centre. it has only just occured to me that they might not be interchangeable .

i need to know if all t-series diff centres are the same in re-gard to bolt pattern and what not from different car models that they were found on. like will a open diff centre form a celica t-series, will this bolt onto / fit a t-series zenki housing found on t-18s or zenki jdm sprinters with drum brakes.

i might be picking one up tonight and need to be sure before i do the pick up

    john.

Short answer is yes, they are all the same.

After middle of 1985, the axle spline is different. Applys to AE86 and AE95.

T series from the 70's have 10 short studs. From the 80's, its 9 short studs and 1 longer stud. Very easy to change.

Yes, but they've also got a different PCD (4x100) and no space for redrilling safely. The centres should be fine though.

There is a whole class of vehicles built around 1999-2001 consisting of the Vitz (Echo), BB, Corolla2, Funcargo, Starlet etc... which were made 4WD. They have a live axle T series, as does the AE95 and AE109 Corolla/Sprinter 4WDs, and some Caldinas. I at least know its the same 10 stud bolt pattern. Some parts would differ abviously. Not what you wanted to know...

Considering this... why would the "new AE86" not be able to come with the old T series live axle? OK, don't reply to that. Sorry.
